HISTORY
A VERY LONG-STANDING PASSION
With a particular taste for American fashion from the 50s to the 70s. Jeans, work jackets, university jackets, military clothing, aviator jackets, boots... Trinkets fashioned from American legends. Trinkets that mark their era but know how to stand the test of time over the decades.
Over the years, the passion grew, as did the collection. The searches are becoming more precise. Around iconic American brands: Filson, Levi's, Redwing, Woolrich, Lee, Schott... that I hunt to find authentic, rare products. I am interested in materials and methods. Quality becomes a requirement. I modify, with the help of a retoucher, the clothing I find. I have them reworked and adjusted. The passion for the weekend is taking up more and more space in my daily life. It becomes the common thread. On the lookout for rare pieces. Inspired by a model, I invent another with the fabrics that I like, selected after careful research with French manufacturers.
I create for myself... Like this jacket, reminiscent of a military model from the Swiss army, which I revisit with a cut in my own way and beautiful materials. It will enrich my wardrobe, others will follow...
From meeting to meeting, those of artisans, shapers, manufacturers, from discovery to discovery, I refine my style, I create my style. I like basic and timeless clothes. “Chic” basics too.
I like the idea of buying an item of clothing to keep it for a lifetime. Pass it on to my son too!
Jackets, jackets, shirts, sweaters, bags…
Thus was born a “Héritage” line, French-style work clothing.
I want to be able to wear my jackets on a motorbike, in town, in the countryside, everywhere in fact.
I want quality clothes. Timeless. A second skin.
On a sunny morning, after a motorbike ride, I stop for a drink in an old country café. You know the one that also serves as a grocery store, tobacco store…
Inside, everything is vintage, nothing thought out, nothing worked, from the timeless atmosphere to the furniture...
The café is called “Chez Tonton”… I found my name!
I add “Sons” to it… This tenacious idea of durability, of transmission…
I mechanically write “Uncle and Son” on a piece of paper…
